Our New Truck!

Kait & I got a new truck yesterday. We sold the Nissan Frontier that I had been driving for the last 6+ years last week and decided to pull the trigger on a new (used) truck.

It's a 2009 Toyota Tundra and we are looking forward to many great years of truck ownership with it.

Ouch

Therapeutic Luna

Here's a few pictures of Luna helping me rest on the couch at home. She actually makes a good therapy dog when she's not busy being a wild beast.

Garrett (Polar Bear Plunge) Drake

This year as part of my Leadership Great Falls class, we decided to participate in the local polar bear plunge. Kirsten had the great idea of dressing me up as a lobster for the event. My costume turned out great and I even ended up winning best-dressed at the event. For a video of us jumping in the ice cold water, check out my Facebook page.

Early season skiing

I was able to get out and do some early season skiing around Bozeman. Kirsten, Seth, and myself made a trip up Lick Creek with Luna and Barley. It was a beautiful day and the snow was great! Kirsten was able to try out her new skis and seemed to be doing really well.

I was also able to get out with Scott Mahurin, my soon to be new full time co-worker at TD&H. We ended up hiking History Rock and had a nice run with fresh powder.

My final day skiing for the season came on Showdowns opening weekend. I spent the day skiing with John Juras, another coworker, in what turned out to be a great day of skiing.

It's only mid-December but my ski season is over for the year. Yesterday I had surgery on my ACL and I'll likely be on the couch for the rest of the season. But at least I was able to get in three good days of skiing.

Cheers!

Cat/Griz 2011

After an awesome season, Bobcat fans had high hopes that this year the 'Cats would come out with a "W" over the Griz.  Unfortunately, those hopes were not realized and the 'Cats fell to the Griz 36-10.  Although we were disappointed with the outcome, the 'Cats advance to the playoffs and will play their December 3rd playoff game on their home turf.  We stand behind you, Bobcats! Go Cats, Go!

A Day to Remember

Today we remember the life of Frank Newman. A truly great man that will be missed dearly.

Luna enjoying a beautiful fall day in Great Falls

Happy Fall!

Fall has arrived in Montana.  In fact, it appears that winter is well on its way.  For us, fall means getting cozy by the fire, the never ending raking of leaves, watching Bobcat football, and planning for the holiday season.  After a busy summer of traveling all over our beautiful state, we look forward to slowing down and settling in for the winter ahead.
